Foreign Qualifications

When a corporation or Limited Liability Company is formed in one state, but has an office or regularly conducts business in another state, the company is considered a “foreign entity” in its host state. The corporation or LLC must qualify as a foreign corporation or foreign LLC in the state of operation in order to continue to do business there and remain in good standing with the state.

A common example of this is an incorporation or LLC that was formed in Delaware that operates in another state. Vcorp will prepare your foreign qualification documents and will submit the filing to the appropriate state agency so that your entity will remain in good standing with your host state.
