A successful corporation is nothing without satisfied customers - no matter how big or small the business may be. Big-name companies often understand this concept and puts their teams through rigorous customer experience training programs in order to keep consumers coming back.
Annually, Forrester looks at many major companies to determine what businesses do to ensure that their customers return, publishing its Customer Experience Index. This year, some top brands that showed massive improvements included Aetna, Citi's credit card company; Charter Communications and Office Depot. When it all boiled down, these companies focused on having a centralized customer service team and worked to address areas of concerns for their consumers, Harley Manning blogged for Forrester.
On the smaller scale of things, entrepreneurs can follow suit and implement similar tactics. According to AllBusiness, top customer service begins with training all staff members and consistently reminding them to put the customer first.
"Start with the little things, such as a standard way of politely greeting people on the phone or asking that sales staff courteously greet anyone who enters the store," AllBusiness reported.
